On Sunday, I tried something I’ve never tried before. I took an aerial fabric class.
It was awesome! We learned several different climbs, positions, etc.
No, I didn’t make it to the top of the fabric. (I made it about one third of the way up through some twisting and flipping. Sorry I don’t have pics.) Learning how to maneuver your feet and legs takes practice. Only one crazy monkey girl in our class rocked it to the top of the fabric by just climbing.
But you don’t have to make it to the top to do some fun stuff.
Now, if you’ll excuse me…I need to spend the rest of the week icing my arms and abs.

I remember trying a pole fitness class. It was the most exhilarating experience just to learn how to spin on the pole like a classy lady… I’m not sure there is a classy way to spin on a pole, though. Good for you for trying something new!

I kinda want to try a pole dance, but I’m not sure I can pull off sexy strutting.

It’s really liberating. You should look into it. It is really great aerobic exercise too!

I didn’t make it to the top of the fabric. There’s a sentence you don’t see very often. Will you be posting these on Etsy?

Oh man, I’m having flashbacks to elementary school gym class when we had to climb ropes. I still can’t figure out how you’re supposed to climb those.
That’s looks fun, I’ve never heard of it. If I get the chance to do it, I probably won’t. But I’ll watch others do it in awe.

This looks like a blast. I also love that it’s half outside!? I think?

Ugh, that bring back memories of when they tried to make us climb the rope in Gym class. Bad memories! Bad memories!

that looks like SO much fun…it also looks like something that if I tried it would be sure to cause me massive injury when I fell on my head, someone else’s or both!

I would also fall on my head, Rachael. Or accidentally kick my swinging neighbor in the face.

Let’s never do it together then – there’s a surefire trip to A&E!

I love that you are trying new things. After your break-up, this is exactly what you need!

That’s different. I get it’s a great work out! Regardless of how many inches you made it from the floor, it looks like fun!
February 14th, 2013 at 7:28 am
It’s such a good work out that I’m still feeling it 4 days later. Yesterday was the first day I was able to put on my pants without sitting down.

All I can focus on is your amazing calf muscle. I’m going to work out now.
February 14th, 2013 at 7:29 am
Just don’t look at the thigh…there’s not much muscle there.

Oh my gosh! You are so cool! I have a friend that does this. Amazing concentration & strength. You’re like a super hero!!

If I can get the hang of it, this will be how I swing in and attack bad guys.
February 13th, 2013 at 6:24 am
OK, that is so cool. And something that would probably kill me.
February 13th, 2013 at 8:16 am
I have never heard of this! Very cool indeed!

You, sir, need to post more. It’s been awhile. Has TC #4 graduated yet?

You’re always doing such fun stuff. Now I’m off to write another post about what I saw on TV this weekend. :[

This is a new one to me! I am most impressed that you didn’t tie yourself to yourself, because I totally would have done that.
February 14th, 2013 at 7:32 am
I may have gotten my foot tangled up in the fabric once…or twice. May.
