Here we are, just days before my 30th birthday, and Kiefer hasn’t proposed.
And that’s the only thing left to cross off my 30 Before 30 List. (Except do something awesome for my birthday, which I did, but I haven’t posted about because I’m still waiting for pics…from Kiefer’s camera. Hmph.)
So I’ve decided to take matters into my own hands. Starting now, I’m accepting applications for a blog husband or wife. Just like how people have a work husband or work wife.
Because it’s a blog husband or wife, you can still apply if you’re already married. Because it’s only pretend. Pre-tend. Got that? I just want to be perfectly clear because I don’t want anyone to be disappointed when they find out I’m not really going to marry them.
To apply to be a blog husband or wife….
- Leave a comment below explaining why you would be a wonderful blog husband/wife.
- Include a link to the ring that you would buy me. (I’ll totally accept rings from those little toy machines at the grocery store.)
After I pick a blog husband or wife, you’ll need to write a guest post for my blog. That’s all. After that, you’re free to flirt with other blogs.

I would love to be your blog wife.
I would behave just as any wife would – I will complain about cooking dinner, spend all your money and hate our children. I will gossip with my friends whenever possible and make you feel guilty about being late for every blog post.
I could also gain weight exponentially after we make this official.
And as I am applying to be a wife, I don’t need to get you a ring. That’s what a potential husband would do.

OMG pick me as your blog-wife (and why can’t you have both a husband and wife since we’re being so modern) I’ll make you pop-tarts everyday, watch breakfast at tiffany’s with you (it’s on my list too) and get you drunk enough to think it’s a great movie.
I would give you a party ring, because they taste AWESOME and I got married in the playground with one when I was 5 and that marriage lasted the WHOLE DAY so ya know those babies work! For an image just google ‘Party Ring’ they come in a variety of colours, you pick, but I recommend pink & white as they are my favourite flavours. (I’d have posted a link but it went all “text” crazy)
I would also be willing to adopt a “animal” child with you to “consolidate” our relationship. And….you get to name it. (Yes I’m prepared to let you name our first-born)
Oh and I’ll send you a gift every christmas and make the appropriate relationship comments…I will also refer to Kiefer as “your bit on the side” I think that’s everything, I will give you the moon and possibly trek to Antarctica to find petey….but that last bits a maybe, i don’t like the cold 😛

I’m a little strapped for cash right now. I couldn’t buy you the ring you deserve. Plus, I’m always the bridesmaid. Everyone knows that. And, I’m not sure I’m ready for this commitment. I can’t even seem to write my own blog posts anymore.
I would really, really, really love to be on the blog husband/blog wife selection committee, though. Can I? Can I? Huh, huh???

I just learned how to “BEG”, so begging for your blog hand in marriage would be the next logical step. I would bring your slippers to you on command, would share my toys with you (even after I drool on them), we can go on walks together, car rides together would be fun because I like hanging my head out the car window, I love cats too and I could have fun with Esme while you are gone, I would never complain (about anything) because all I can do is “woof”, but winning your blog hand in marriage would be a lifetime of happiness. I’ve gotten married a number of times and it’s not what it’s cracked up to be. Still, having a blog husband or wife would be a good move. I’m not applying because I have numerous blog romances going on and I sort of can’t see me quitting that. Anthony Weiner and I have that in common. We are hooked on internet love. Good luck though.
